Agreement
By creating an account or using the PetsMatchy (PawMate) mobile app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The operator’s legal entity name is TODO: legal entity name. Contact: support@petsmatchy.com. We have not listed a street address here because none is confirmed.
The service
PetsMatchy lets pet owners create profiles, post updates, swipe/match, chat, follow others, and find veterinarians. Vets can list a clinic, post, take appointments, and receive reviews. Features may change. The app is provided as-is; we do not guarantee matches, appointments, or breeding/adoption outcomes.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login safe.
- You must be old enough to use an online account in your country (and at least 13).
- One person should not impersonate another, including impersonating a licensed veterinarian.
- Vet accounts that list a license number and clinic details are responsible for the accuracy of that information.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Post illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits animals.
- Harass, threaten, or dox other users.
- Spam, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows.
- Upload malware or attempt to bypass security or access other people’s accounts.
- Use the app to sell stolen animals or run scams (including fake adoptions).
You can report posts or users in the app. We may remove content or accounts after a report, but we are not obligated to monitor everything.
User content
You keep ownership of photos, captions, reviews, and other content you post. You grant us a license to host, display, and deliver that content in the app so other users can see it according to your visibility settings. You are responsible for having the rights to the photos and text you upload (including photos of other people’s pets or clinics).
We may remove content that violates these terms. Deleting a post or your account removes it from the live service as described in the Privacy Policy; copies others already saved (screenshots, shares) are outside our control.
Pets, health, and safety
PetsMatchy is not a veterinary practice and does not provide medical advice. Appointments booked through the app are between you and the clinic. Breeding, playdates, and adoptions are at your own risk — meet safely, verify ownership and health records yourself, and follow local animal-welfare laws.
Termination
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (see Delete account). We can suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. We will try to give notice when it is reasonable to do so.
Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, PetsMatchy and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app, matches, chats, appointments, or user content. If a limitation is not allowed in your region, it applies only to the maximum extent allowed.
Governing law
TODO: governing law and venue — do not rely on a placeholder jurisdiction. Until this is completed by a lawyer, disputes can be raised at support@petsmatchy.com.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, except where local law requires a different process.
